The game controller settings and controls are very family friendly. In our playtesting, we did run into any issue with the controller settings or even controls in Donut County. As the game is all about moving the hole around the level, the controls are extremely fast and responsive on all consoles and there were no issues controlling the game. Donut County is extremely easy to control and very pick up and play friendly. The left thumb stick controls the hole, and one button is used for the upgrade that you earn later in the game. Controls in Donut County are extremely easy to use. In our playtesting, we did not encounter any issues with the game audio and found the game to be very family friendly.
Donut County is presented both 5.1 surround sound as well in 2.0 stereo sound and the game sounds well in both formats. As the story is told by via text on the screen, there is gibberish that is accompanied with the game and it fits well for the game. The game has a great soundtrack for each level that fits well for the gameplay. The game uses a soft style of music for the background of the game, menus, and general gameplay. Audio in Donut County is a very calming soundtrack that is perfect for the game. In our playtesting, we did not encounter any issues with the game graphics and found the game to be very family friendly.
The game is optimized for the Xbox series X and PlayStation 5 in 4K and even in 4K the game looks great in motion.
As the game does not support a color-blind mode, it is not needed as the colors on the screen are quite easy to see on the screen. The game graphic detail is extremely easy to see on the screen and what is going on within the game and its action. The game is drawn more in vectors and they are very detail to showcase all the characters, objects, settings, backgrounds and overall fell of the game. The Game Visuals are fantastic for the game. The game story is told from flashbacks of each citizen and what happen to them when they order a donut from BK (A Recoon that works for the Trash King) and his human friend Mira. Save Donut County from the Racoons that have taken over and the county that wants to control everything in this family friendly physics game where you devour the town with a hole in the ground and swallow everything in sight, a truly family friendly game that should not be missed! General Gameplayĭonut County is all about starting off as a small hole and as you progress throughout the game you grow larger in size of the hole and swallow everything in sight to complete the level.
